The foliage follows the flowers in a graceful, rising manner. Low to the bowl a snaking, curled vine type material provides a stark complexity at the base of the arrangement. The cluster of material at the base of the design is offset by the powerful effect of the upwardly pointing branches, such as birch or dogwood branches, place within the irises. To cover the foam in the bowl, moss can be used. Flat glass marbles could be implemented as well to cover the floral foam in the design.

As simple as the Ikebana design, there are several variations. There are many design rules if wanting to keep the Ikebana design traditional. Each rule represents something to the design and to the history and significance of the design. Further research on your part and you will find this type of arrangement is very fascinating. The design can be done in silk or fresh flowers. If figuring the cost to charge on this type of design, do not automatically think that because there are not many materials in the design that the charge for the arrangement should not be much.

There is an abundance of artistic talent put into a correctly created Ikebana. Likewise, the materials used are generally of high quality and high design type. The container is usually glass or pottery, therefore lending to a higher cost. Although a simplistic design, not everyone can create such a unique, meaningful, and historic design. Please take these things into consideration if pricing your design. They are an upscale type of creativity.
